That's true that you could start your own. There are feeds that you can use or you could expriment with a classified software. With the economy the way it is, you would be sure to get some traffic.

rentacoder.com is my favourite
freelancers.net seems to be quite good as well.

As this post was in the web business forum I presumed that the freelance work he was looking for was in the web business! Although if you are looking for that I have just seen a link on a post in another forum on this site to a site waitpal.com that is designed just for that but it is new so there isn't much activity. Still a good idea and it has legs.

Try DP then. The Buy/sell/trade section is very active for content creation, coders etc
