The best way to get QUALITY links is to have a quality site with good information. My site called Limited Liability Company Center has incoming links from several libraries (with .edu or .org TLDs). I have put a lot of work into the site and it still needs more work. It's not easy.

I know you said you're not a good writer, but publishing articles is a great way to get links back to your website.

There are even some services that for a small fee will write the articles for you.

You can also try submitting to directories, but that is a tedious process and Google and the other SE's don't give them a lot of weight.

Cheers.

Make a good website... then people will link to you...

It's the best way... by far... there is no other way which even comes close in comparison... unless you know somebody in high place...

If articles is too much, then try sending out pressreleases, 1 every month.
Only thing is you need some innovative subjects. but the good thing is, that there are about 50 free pressrelease websites, who will send the message out, and more important they archive the article, making your site weigh heavier at google.

1. Every link counts, remember that.

2. There is really no fast and cheap way of building a lot of quality links. You will either have to pay a lot of money for advertising or invest a lot of effort and time, building backlinks - "the hard way".
