wordpress is the best, you have some other options, i would strongly recommend wp only.

Yes i understand but if i get someone to code my design of a theme would i be able to use it straight away i.e. put my posts on ti see where and what people red my blog and if i am able to put my adsence in somewhere with all of the other futures.

u can use it straight off, if you do not want to make a new skin initially you can start of with free skins look at www.mybloglive.com its free downloads

So instead of downloading the WP file from there site i should use the coding pages that coder will provide and upload them using a ftp client onto my web space.
Does it need to be installed and if yes how?
