it all depends on what your doing, usually the best way is.. if the deal is too good to be true, then it probably is a scam.

One of the best ways I have found of detecting scams is if the benefits of a scheme and the HUGE amounts of money you can make from that scheme are repeated over and over again before you are told what the scheme actually is. Then it might be a scam.
