Can any one suggest me which investment options are best to get tax exemption....(according to Indian taxation laws)

Public Provident Funds ( PPF)
LIC: Life Insurance Corporation
NSC : National Savings Certificates

How do you invest in NSC and does it have many downfalls and how risky is it?

its safe as its issued by government of india. no problems at all with NSC

Well don't know about NSC but investing in Insurance plans & Mutual funds like ING you can save some amount of tax.

And if you ask to your tax consultants they always give good ways...
