I'm a York University student in Canada who is extremely interested in business. I am currently working for my father, and I am learning more and more about the business world. Looking at my dad, who balances being CEO of his own company, being an involved parent of four and a husband, I realize how easy it can be to become overwhelmed and overly stressed. Though articles condemn the necessity of executive coaching, I believe that coaching can be beneficial for someone facing as many, simultaneous difficulties. After having coffee with Irene Becker, an executive coach and reading her blog http://jutcoachit.blogware.com, I learned the importance of having a coach to provide you with unique perspectives and beneficial strategies on how to cope with life. Irene is not a therapist, but as a woman who has highly experienced in the business world and who has also had to deal with many of life’s ups-and-downs, she is highly qualified to give guidance to those in need.. I am interested in becoming a part of my father’s firm . I feel lucky because not only is my father a great business, marketing and communications instructor, he is also a great strategic thinker and he helps me deal with the trials of my personal life. This coaching makes it easier for me to accomplish with a clear and positive mind. I therefore, would like to suggest that business owners hire a good coach, so that they can learn strategies of dealing with life’s hardships and the pressure of running a business and live happily and successfully. Irene’s website is www.justcoachit.com. If any forum members wish to provide additonal insight on the topic of business coaching please feel free to share an opinion or a story. I would love to hear from you.
