I read this news story that Canada's largest uranium producer Cameco has found contaminated soil at its processing plant and that they have to shut down operations for at least 2 months. Do you think this will cause uranium prices to jump up even more than they already have? Is there some kind of buying opportunity for uranium stocks, and if so, what's a good uranium stock to buy?
Seems like Cameco always has problems, first it was cigar like, now it's this. I wonder how much Cameco share price will drop on Monday.

Well, if we even just look at this at a more simplistic matter with a supply and demand curve we know that as the supply lessens (as in the case of Canada's largest uranium plant) then it causes a shortage of uranium, thereby driving up the cost of other uranium products.
Expect Cameco's stock to drop significantly, but, also expect to see other Uranium producers' stocks jump a little bit. We are seeing the same thing happening currently in America with the realization that this time last year we had over 24 million barrels of oil in America then we do this year, but, the demand is up for oil is up 2% this year. This has allowed the leader in oil (exxon mobil) to experience very positive growth this week.

Cameco's stock did drop substantially, but so did every other uranium producer as the markets have been falling for 5 days straight in Canada. So sad... I lost more than 1/2 my years' entire gains in just 5 days.
