Hello, I have a rather large amount of money that I would like to invest and don't know where to begin. I would like not to disclose the amount I have but let's say 5 million dollars. What is the best possible advice you can give me for investing this money. I am an absolute nubee when it comes to investing. I would just like to hear other investors ideas if they had $5 million to invest. Thank you.

My best advice is not to go posting figures like 5 million on a forum, you'll be bombarded with people who want your money. Some may be good, some may be bad. The second best advice I can give is not to include the word 'nubee' (which is spelt 'newbie' by the way) in the same sentence as 5 million dollars. You're begging to get scammed.
You could start by reading some books and articles on prudent investment.

Hi
That is a huge amount of money! But i guess you should get acquainted with how stock market work before you invest your money. The best way is to participate in forums like this. Hang around and pick up the threads. The other is to read books on financial investment. Also visit sites like moneycontrol, morningstar and www.marketsimplified.com which are user friendly and are quite easy to get information especially for novice investors. Happy investing! |
