I can relate to your position... I've lost almost all my gains for the year when the Cdn & American exchanges fell for the past 5 days. Don't know if this advice will help you, but I'm holding on to my portfolio, maybe even adding to it, as this may be a short-term dip and creates a buying opportunity.

there is sharp fall in markets worldwide, and it is good for stable rise in future. just hold on to your positions, buy more at lower levels.

I guess that there's no other way but up if you are down. But is it really the best move to buy more stocks in lower levels to cover losses of the other stocks? I mean how do one know when to pull out his/her investment in stocks? Good day to all..
