Which of the following things is most important in your opinion when starting a business?:

1. Available knowledge, skills, experience.
2. Money and other financial resources.
3. Contacts.
4. A vision on where to go with the business

(I am interested in how you all are thinking about these four possibilities specifically)

I think it is very hard to select from that group. They all play such an important role together. When we started the business, we had the expertise and contacts but money was the issue. However, without the expertise, we would have never ventured down the road that we did for the our type of business. Talent is out there if you work hard enough to find it and as you grow, talent finds you. The vision was part of why we started the business in the first place.

It's so hard to choose from the choices which is most important... Let's see... Hmmm.... I have to go with number 1. Available knowledge, skills and experience would definitely be most important for me. Finance and money would just be the second most important. Money would be rendered useless unless you know how to handle problems. Knowledge is really the most important for me because with it I can compensate for the skills and experience needed. As long as I have the proper mindset and learn as much as possible things that has of great relevance to my business, I could easily handle any situation that would occur. Though other factors are closely as important, knowledge with skills plus experience would greatly give an edge when it comes to business matters. How bout you geertjanw? Which do you value best of the four?
