Hello,

I'm young (16) and I would love to get into selling things because I just love business. I don't have much of a budget because I am going to save up over summer and I'm only getting paid just over minimum wage. I was thinking of selling products online and I have no ideas. I was wondering if anyone had ideas for a young entrepreneur with little budget. I would need to sell products/services with low cost so I can start up the company.

You are at a pivotal point in your life. You may not realize it, but your mindset is great. Most kids your age are thrilled to get an under appreciated job working for some company to make a little spending cash. However, those who look to get into the business side early in life are usually the ones who become successful. What you do now, might not make you a rich kid, but you will pick up much more valuable experience that you can cash in, down the road.

I would suggest you learn to make websites right away. It is a valuable tool that you will benefit from. You make a little cash making websites - the more experienced you get, the more money you can make. You don't need too much money to get started - seeing as you already have access to a computer. Making a website will get you thinking about business in general and it will lead to marketing, finance, and profit.

Web designing is huge right now. There are some many methods and different programming codes; ASP, JAVA, PHP, MySQL, Flash just to name a few..... One basic code you should learn is HTML.

There are two ways to do this - actually coding by hand or turn to a code generator, which are becoming pretty popular, because it is more drag and drop rather then learning a new language. Search for Frontpage or Dreamweaver. They are the most popular HTML Generators.

That will start you with learning the setup of of websites. There are plenty of tutorials online, so whenever I get stuck I google search for the solution. Havesn't failed me yet.

You sound like you're very intelligent, and you have a fantastic mindset, starting young will give you a huge legup in life.

you obviously have a good grasp of english, have you thought about joining one of those get-paid-to-blog programs? I don't imagine it'd pay much but it'd be a good way to make a little money and would also give you a springboard for marketing whatever you eventually do.

for the long term, what sort of things do you like doing? what are you good at? how much time and what other resources do you have at your disposal?

Do you have any hobbies or interests you do offline, maybe you could bring those online? I remember making a website distributing video clips of a prom or sports event at school, thousands of people signed up to watch them.

My hobby is to make films in my spare time and thats what i did, i made a few films and got people interested in them.
