Default Business Etiquette

business etiquettes are different from social etiquette.

some of them are :

while introducing a low raking person to higher ranking person the proper way is to make introduction of lower raking person to higher ranking person eg: A is CEO and B is manager than the introduction will be Mr A, i ' d like you to meet Mr B.

never skip any persons introduction even if u forget the name of the person . your introduction can follow asking there name eg i m sorry your name just slipped my mind........

in case of hand shake a firm hand shake with direct eye contact leaves a good positive impression. For hand shake in case of women should remember that at work place both men and women are equal so always extent your hand for a handshake........

Hand Shakes are important - open hand turned up means you have nothing to hide.

poonam,

very nice tips...thanks

in some religions/cultures, the woman might not be able to to handshake, so a direct eye contact and a verbal response can do.

If I may add, always express your gratitude even if business dealings were not favorable to you and be observant of their reactions and comments. And always lend an ear, everybody loves a great listener.

Thanks for the all the manners i guess everybody should keep in mind but one thing i can say is that although some religions don,t allow women handshake but just a direct eye contact in not a reasonable one one can say hi using his hand..and then eye contact can be done ...
what do you say.

Punctuality I think is the most important among all the business etiquette tips. Always arrive on time for an appointment. Never ever be late.
