I have some amount of earnings apart from the ones that I save for my necessities. I want the earnings invested in some real estate or may be in stocks. I do have some knowledge on stocks but, earlier my cousin had invested in the stocks and had a set-back. I know that you need to be updated in that but – What is a better option from the two???

Real estate and stocks are both cheap now. However, if you don't have enough to invest in both, invest in Stocks.
Medical, Finance stocks are very cheap compare with other sectors. So diversify your money in these 2 sectors. You can start to invest 30% of your earnings now and add more money when the price drops further. Don't be panic when your portfolio is in the negative territory because bear in mind that you are investing for long term. |

What is the amount of money you are planning to invest? Any how, Land would be the best bet for your investment.Very rarely we see land prices falling down.Atleat you r not speculating.
