Hi Guys,

I was just wondering whether people here paid for SEO marketing, or whether you tried to use internet tools to do it yourselves.

I try to do it myself becuase I cannot justify paying someone for it, when there are so many freely available tools on the internet to do it yourself

if you are new you will have to learn before doin a seo campaign, some of the possible ways are to

• exchange links
• buy paid links, free listings in directories
• text link advertisments in other websites related to your site

Agreed, but SEO is samething that can be done yourself, if you have the time or are interested.

But there will always be a place for SEO marketers, as there are some people that don't have the time for SEO, or they may not know enough about HTML and other website writing to do it effectively.

that is true, but most companies do not have time to do this,
they want to spend more time developing and giving away service or product.
some mite even consider a adwords campaign to reach their target leads, as its fast,

most who seek to do seo are the once who are looking to generate revenue from their website toping in search engines, so that is worth it if you have time and willing to put efforts.

I agree, if you are already a successful company, it is more cost effective to pay for someone to do your SEO. But it is definitely worth having at least a little knowledge, so you can tell if the SEO marketers you are dealing with are legitimate.

But if you are starting out online, you should definitely learn SEO, because it will become beneficial in all marketing and business decisions you make.

oh yea established business owners would jus throw the bucks seek for returns at the end of the year.
new guys might want to spend a bit of time doing on their own, but again its spending your business time, what i feel is to hire guys to do that, business owners want to spend more time getting big business deals rather then looking for marketing by themselves

I also do SEO myself. But sometimes I also outsource some things such as directory submissions. I just have a lot of things to do and I just can't afford to submit my sites to tons of directories manually. This service is not that expensive anyway.
