Why not become a VA (Virtual Assistant)? It would be the perfect way to go for you. Join a VA network like vanetworking.com to find out more about this industry and to ask all the questions you like related to it. It's free to join and you can also bag a few clients on the site itself. Hope that helps, Anthony

Here's something to think about: What are your selling points? Speaking from experience, customers rarely buy based on price; they buy on value. It doesn't matter if your financial or marketing products are 25%, 50%, or even 75% lower than your competitors if your prospects don't see very clear benefits to going with your service. Another thing to consider is the "Rule of 6," which states that in sales, there will be 6 common objections to your product or service, and 6 selling "hot buttons" about your product or service which would convince a customer to buy. After you've made a few sales calls or networking attempts, sit down and write down the above mentioned 6 most frequent objections and 6 most powerful "hot buttons." Lastly, let me offer you a piece of hard-earned advice. Never, EVER render a product or service without first presenting a Statement of Work and a binding legal agreement detailing your product time-line, features, limitations, and conditions. Not only will the practice lend to your credibility (which directly correlates to your word-of-mouth), but it'll protect your business from clients who might take advantage of your young business status. Hope this helps.

Hey Nickesh
If you have a business you can promote it with a very low budget using email advertising. I've been in your case (because I also have a small business), and look what I did: I googled 'opt-in email advertising' and tested each week the companies I found there (used the first ones listed on that page). And got a lot of traffic, but the sales did not increase too much. Acceptable results I got for taketheinternetback.com where I paid 1000 emails for $15 (I think that $15 is a resonable price) and got not only traffic, but also some sales. I searched alexa.com for stats, and it seems that most of the traffic on this website is US based, so it would make sense to use it in my case. I'm quite pleased with the results, but if anybody knows a better way to increase sales I'll expect replies. Angelinna |

Surely that there are some information/insights you can share to others. I mean that surely there has got to be something you're good at, you could write articles about it and post it just like what we're doing here. Only difference would be that in blogs you could design it, choose certain layout and/or designs and you could use html codes in some blogs. Blogs are more like a diary, and through it you can place links pointing to your site. That way you could give information and also have advertisements.

Depending on the time you have to dedicate to promoting your service, there are many FREE ways to market yourself, your site and your service!
These strategies are not "secrets" they're not "classified" and they are definitely not "exclusive" or unattainable! Stay away from anyone selling you this type of hype! What these strategies are: - time consuming
Ask for advice - as you just did - many many people who are not selling you will always be happy to help.
