Is marketing on youtube really worth it?
Would you spend your time on youtube?. The target audience of youtube is more towards the younger end of the market, so one has to keep this in mind and so there is no point trying to viral market an old spice aftershave equivalent or cod liver oil.
One other thing is that there is a general negative attitude on youtube towards adverts, people don't seem to like new companies trying to promote stuff, if you read the comments at the bottom people seem to get pretty angry about it. What is your experience with youtube?

Most of the videos are homemade that is the reason its lacking the professionalism and some time irate people. You need good content to make it interesting and viral.

something different and catchy videos would surely do the trick, if it gets little fame be ready for huge views to your video for sure

You should take every marketing opportunity. This may cost you some of your time but everything counts. So I say... YouTube? why not?

That's right! Free marketing tools should always be taken advantage of. Take your chances and you might find wheter they would be effective for you or not.

You can also use Youtube to embed videos into your site, even if there is no viral effect.
I like the idea of myspace marketing. Could be a good way to network.
