Network marketing is not every body's cup of tea.
And generally the companies who follow network marketing has very inferior quality products but there are few exceptions. |

As someone who would never have considered themself a "network marketer", or never would have considered joining a Network Marketing company, I would have to agree to both of the above post. Network marketing has dropped off a bit. And, a good portion of network marketing companies don't have products that can pass the muster test.
But..... Global Resorts Network in my opinion is the exception. (which is the only reason I joined) The travel product is phenominal (it use to sell in private seminars for 3 times the price). It's run by brilliant executives and has high caliber- very intelligent customer service reps that take pride in what they do, and take care of clients like the old days. GRN is the opposite of any other Network Marketing Company around today, and my assumption is that this company will bring the credibility back to the word Network Marketing. |

I would say there is a misconception between "network marketing" companies, previously known as multi-level marketing and companies that network for new business through referrals and creating "strategic partnerships". If you don't own the business or know the owner well.. then I would say your chances of success are limited (i know there are a lot of success stories, thats why I said limited) But I am not here to talk about MLM's or Network marketing, I am here to say that marketing through networking events, friends and family does work very well. Especially if you plan on keeping your business very niche and personal. I have grown my business (my business partner and I started it from scratch) using my contacts and meeting people every chance I get, I have grown my company into what I would call a major success in the works. But I know that having a sales force can also be very productive, if properly managed. Not all business models work in conjunction with "networking". Feel free to share your experiences and comments..
