The world of marketing online is changing everyday. The ideas have sort of stalled after SEO , adwords, and spam where discovered. To no suprise marketers have devloped new ways to reach thier target markets. The newest approach comes from a company that opened for business 7 months ago, HypeDrive. They offer clients a new way to get consumers with an old school approach, word of mouth marketing. They will for a fee take your business, website, or idea and relay the message to thier vast network of contract employees that begin conversations throughout the internet . They can infiltrate all of the major scoial networks and even bloggers to find your exact target market. They claim to generate ” genuine conversation”. A person inside the compamy explains that the way the work is , they just find the consumers you want and strike up conversations with them. The company will not disclose thier clients , because they offer full disclosure. The company says they can take a product know one has ever heard of and in a month people can’t quit talking about it. The company is rumored to behind many of the new internet crazes, but specifics can not be verfied. The approach is critized by some saying it is stealth, but it does defietley offer a new breath to online businesses who are alwasy on the lookout for new ways to reach thier markets. I am curious what others think about this.

It is actually a great idea, there are some companies like payperpost.com,clikz.com and Hypedrive.com , begginning to mushroom on this very concept. I especially liked the ways Hypedrive works. It works by creating a Hype and driving eyes to where the client needs them to be.They create a buzz through social networks, blogs, forums etc.

I think that is a "great idea". I will have too look into that. There are so many ways of marketing but nowadays alot are getting clustered. Any new way of marketing is a good way to learn.
I appreciate your post

Yes i do agree this a new and innovative way of marketing... but there is no guarantee of sucess and even though i would opt for this type of publicity i will use this type of publicity as an additional rather than depend on it completely.....

It sounds simple and affordable. I believe that "word of mouth" advertising is very effective. My only doubt about this new technique is how much control do I have over the "message" being spread or convey by this company, whom is representing my brand image.

Thanks for sharing Joe
but for me SEO is the best and most effective way for marketing your product. Almost 90% of traffic for our site is through SE and we get most of our business through SE and through " Word of mouth "About hypedrive, what talent and work experience ppl are having working for us through them. What campaign they are going to set for our business i mean do they have some standard promotion campaigns. I would like to have traffic but just targeted one, not trace passers. [ Though the company is 7 months old it don't have a single page in Google index you can imagine the quality of this site from this! I am not against this new way of promotion but the company that will get you on the top should be on the top first ] Just my opinion. |
