Branding is very important but let's expand on that a little. Why is it important? Well, it's pretty simple a catchy name is important, take Domino's for instance it was called Dominick's Pizza before it was sold and franchised big time. We are used to the name because we think pizza, and the name pops into are heads along with others. It's the same for your business, a catchy name doesn't have to be hard think of something that fits you, your personality and what your doing. It doesn't need to be a long name, short and sweet. Go on and rock it out!

I think WalMart has done the best job, despite their pr issues in the past couple of years. They are facing tougher competition now and may not longer be on top in a year but in the list you gave us, WalMart gets my vote for best branding.

If I could have written in a different option, I would have said McDonalds, hands down. Did you see the study where Kindergadeners all said that anything wrapped in McDonald's packaging tests better? Now that's brand recognition (for better or worse...)!

Yes I did see that study plain wrappers to mickey d's wrappers. Here's another example of branding. I'm in my hometown this weekend and there's a new BBQ place called Fat Boy's the slogan on the sign is "You can't trust a skinny cook!" The name fit the personalty the slogan is catchy enough where you just gotta go and taste it. By the way it's pretty good, but anyway this a perfect example on branding. Get a name get a slogan and rock it out!
