"I'm starting an electric company and I need a name.
The company is an electrical company serving Michigan. Its mainly residential homes, specializing in custom homes and multi-family dwellings. We do all electrical work , commerical, industrial etc. I would like a name that does not limit what work I do. I would love more commerical work.... so I don't want a name like 'Custom home electric' for example..." I would like opinions on these names for an electrical contracting company. Please vote on the name you like the most. I'm trying to get some other opinions. Never been to this forum before but I am just starting a business so maybe I will hang around and check it out. Thanks. |

I voted for and prefer Rhino Electric.
Assuming no other providers in your geographic area are branded by an animal or other beast I think it would make a memorable logo-mark for promotional materials, from business cards through to truck or van signwriting. Good luck in your business adventure. Fiona Fell

Thanks so far for the votes.
All the names are avalible in my area. I haven't seen any electric companies I can recall that are named after an animal. Most are ussualy named after the owner. Which is a route I don't want to go. I see alot more views than votes. So if you come in here and look at this thread drop a vote. ![]() |

I am between Rhino Electric and Iwire Electric, as both sound good. I agree that it is better to not name the company after yourself.
