Don't think advertising, think marketing.

Advertising is just a small part of marketing. Increasingly advertising is not as effective as it used to be because of the sheer volume of it out there. Consumers have become very weary of taking in so many messages.

You have to engage consumers in other more meaningful ways that give them a direct benefit from the message itself.

I run a marketing company but we still need to market ourselves and try new and different things when we find the market telling us something.

Our approach has been to allow prospective clients experience a part of our service for nothing. We designed this around the fact that our research showed that many people didn't really understand marketing at all. This was also a problem when it came to converting them into clients because they didn't actually 'get it' and were scared by various things involved in marketing including but not exclusively; costs, jargon, previous experiences of DIY marketing, ad reps and marketing consultants! etc.

When they actually experience our message they not only see how we work, build trust and get a direct benefit for their business they also get educated about how important certain aspects of the marketing process is.

We also provide this extra value to our potential clients because we value them. A lot of advertising is prospecting and shows no loyalty or respect to the consumer/prospect. It just tries to get their cash. the result of this approach is no loyalty from the customer either and you end up having to spend more money aquiring new customers.

I'm on a marketing mission here at the moment. Stop thinking about advertising to people and start thinking about marketing with them as part of the process where they can get a clear and definite benfit from the marketing itself.

Not just marketing, but Public Relations as well. Once you get your name out there, you need to be able to manage your relationships with all your different publics.

Nice to see another Aussie here!

"Guess what Stewart?"

PR is where its at!

Read the popular book from my colleagues called
"The Fall of Advertising and the Rise of PR"
by Al & Laura Ries.

Stewart you're missing 5 key ingredients worth $36,000 that will strategically cause your business to gain profit easily in 3 months, without applying too much effort and cold sales:

1. Positioning your business for thousands of dollars worth of free publicity

2. Positioning your company to be the leading service brand

3. Competitive advantages over your competition

4. Specific area of expertise which your outsource company specializes in that competitors can't offer your clients

5. Starting and operating your company without raising capital, and still get clients and employees while making a profit

P.S. To continue in more detail, click ggresourcegroup@aol.com to ask Dr. Biz for more details.

If you are a business offerring a product or service, you need to outreach with advertising. Whether you find it best to use telemarketing, postal marketing, or email marketing, you WILL need data lists for this venture. And there's no cheaper, more reliable company to get your data lists from than Email4marketers. Go to their homepage right now (www.email4marketers.com) and run a GEO-TARGETED search for free to see what kind of results you can get!

With GEO-TARGETED data and info, you can start your advertising campaign. Whether it be to mail out flyers/coupons/promotions to people living in your zip code, or calling prospective clients on the phone with these leads, or fax-blasting to other businesses offerring your product, THIS is HOW you market!

...after you visit our site, you will never again pay high prices for email lists, optin/coreg data, or any other kind of marketing data including fax lists, full data lists, data directories, and more of the highest quality data that can be used for email, telephone, and postal marketing! If there's something you need, and you don't see it- go ahead and ask! We carry many other things that are not yet advertised on the site!

We offer GEOGRAPHICALLY TARGETED DATA. That is, data from a specific city or state.. whether you need EMAIL data, ADDRESS data, or TELEPHONE data, we can offer it as GEO-TARGETED data for the cheapest of any data broker on the Internet: pennies.
