Over the coming days I will be giving you some tips on getting traffic to your website. Here are the first 10.

1.Write and submit articles (If you are uncomfortable with writing articles, I have just written a short eBook that is available for $10. PM me if you are interested.
2.Write and submit press releases
3.Write and ping blog entries. Make multiple blogs and link them all back to your main site.
4.Make sure your website is listed in DMOZ: http://dmoz.org/.
5.Advertise on Craigslist. In your home town, and other towns where your product may be beneficial.
6. Participate in forums.
7.Make sure to view related products on Amazon.com. Steal customers by placing your URL.
8.Review websites in your niche on Alexa to try to take some of their traffic by including a reference back to your site.
9. Review some related products on epinion.
10. Provide testimonials for other people’s products and link back to your site in the testimonial.

Nice tips. I have tried some of them, and will try some more too.

anyway, Dmoz takes me forever. Put mysite for about 4-5 months still not be listed (T_T)

I have tried now for almost 4 years and still waiting for my site to be listed in Dmoz. I have heard stories about dmoz editors being bribed and stuff.

dmoz is dead for me..the fastest way to get traffic is by social bookmarking sites.. and forum signatures..
