Default Branding Your Name on the Internet

I am fairly new to marketing on the internet. The business opportunity I joined taught me how to market on the internet. My career is in computers, but I had never heard of blogs, forum posting, ezines, etc. But I recently learned about it and I am applying the marketing methods and surprisingly they are working. My business is growing.

One of the things I am just now learning is branding. Unknowingly, I am branding my name. Someone I met in the forum told me that he saw that he googled my name and that my information was on the first 3 pages of the google pages.

I have been marketing a lot on the internet; which means that I am just about everywhere on the internet. But, this is key to branding your name. You should be everywhere on the internet. The online marketing that you do, most times remains forever. Therefore, if you are consistent and persistent in your marketing efforts, you will be everywhere on the internet and people will be coming from different places signing up on for your business and signing up for your products. It does work. I have been in busy for less than a year and I have had way over 11,000 people visit my website. Pretty good for someone just learning.

Here is some really great info I found on branding:

"As consumers, we don't really think about the importance of branding. We just seem to go with the flow of brand names that have become synonymous with our daily living. But the impact of a name reinforces the importance of branding when we promote our business. Think about one of the world's most popular athletic shoe companies, Nike. The importance of branding is exemplified by the fact that when you hear Nike, you think athletics and "Just Do It." A great brand name and association has catapulted Nike to the top of its industry.

When you are considering the name of your company, you need to remember the importance of branding. Deciding on a name is not a fluke, but instead is a well thought out process and analysis of names and meaning. The importance of branding begins with creating a simple name for your company. Consumers remember simple. Also, making sure your name can be associated with a positive value, characteristic, or position is part of the importance of branding. Consumers like products to which they can associate positive qualities.

Another aspect of the importance of branding is that your name must be different and unique. If your name is too close to another company's then people are likely to mix you up, which reduces revenue.

Believe in your brand name, what it means, and consumers will follow."

Branding you name is also something an internet marketer should be attempting to do. I was told that because my name is spelled uniquely, that I should not have a problem, but no matter what kind of name or how it is spelled, branding your name requires work. You want your name to be listed at least on the first 3 pages of a Google Search.

Someone told me, not too long ago, that he did a Google search of my name and he told me that I was listed on the first 3 pages. I am still fairly new to internet marketing and I had not known that the amount of work that I had done in such a short amount of time could make this happen.

If it can happen with me, I know most people are capable of branding their name too. You just have to put in the time and engage in your marketing efforts consistently. In time, your name will also be branded. Oh, to brand you name, whatever you want to use, just be sure you include it with your articles, posts, etc. This is how the branding of a name starts.

Just because you type in your name in google (which is unique) doesn't mean anybody else is even going to KNOW your name... which is where marketing comes into play.

This is a deep dark rabbit hole that has a lot of pitfalls, and I'd like to at least point you in the right direction before getting started.

I think that you'd greatly benefit from my blog posts found at graphicsms.wordpress.com

Also, if you find this info useful, please visit my company website at graphics.ms, and maybe I can assist you in your marketing efforts.

Have a great new year, and thank you again for your time.
