One of the first things I recommend people do is to get a good accountant. Keep records of all of your business dealings; receipts, bills, expenditures, etc and be sure you have kept up on your record keeping. This is just so that, if you get audited, you are covered. If you use a room out of your home or apartment, you can also write this off. I have been doing this for the past 3 years. In the past years, I have been using a cheaper and faster accounting services. But, since I have acquired 6 rental properties and have two work at home businesses, this will be the first year that I will need to invest in a more expensive and probably better knowlegeable accountant. I have dealt with some that just wanted to take my money and negelected to take into consideration some things in regards to my business which did hurt me in some ways. Be sure you get a good accountant that is willing to work with you.

Hi, I am a high school student and soon to be graduating. I love both accounts and chemistry. I can't decide which I love more. I've always dream to be a doctor but now I realize that I should think about job security and I am quite frightened from dead bodies. So I am ready to go for accounts. Which degree is better in terms of job prospect and job security related on accountancy?
