Among the members here who has obtained a loan from a bank, personal or business, what have you used as collateral to obtain that loan? Your car, house, parcel of land?

there is no reason to be emotional about borrowing for business .
of course using own resources is a feeling of pride but if u r a practical businessman then you will compare borrowing rate of interest and rate of interest on invested funds. when u see the result i am sure you will change your opinion about using your own funds in business. check it out for urself !!

When i was younger i loan money for buying cars, now days i just buy i car that i can pay with the money i have.
I've i loan for my house but thats good for reducing taxes. I haven't loan money for business yet, but I'm not afraid to loan when the time is wright.

I have my car on a lease/ loan for tax purposes and I've paid for business related expenses on credit card but never a formal loan.

 but I m looking for loan these days in several banks to buy new flat but seems market interest rate is high now.
