Default Biggest crash in indian market, largest intra day fall

BSE index 1111.70 points down
This is highest fall intra day in indian stock market history.
Most analyst are of the opinion that market is down due to panic.

The Markets closed down after a dramatic day – Sensex ended down 450 points at 10481.77 and the Nifty down 165 at 3081.35. Trading was suspended for an hour in the afternoon as the market hit the lower 10% circuit. It resumed at 12:56 pm, but continued to be choppy.

The Finance Minister P Chidambaram and SEBI Chairman M Damodaran assured retail investors there was no liquidity constraint in the markets, and all systems were functioning well.
