Default Re: Backup!!!

depends on how Your webdirectory is constructed.
Often there is a separated directory for template/design which has to be downloaded.

Hi pratik, like Hendrik said, it kind of depends on your directory and the type of control panel your using, but in general if you are using cPanel for example go to your MySQL directory. usually /var/lib/mysql
zip everything up.
tar -zxcf /somewhere/name.tar *
If you're using H-Sphere it's even easier.
Now, don't just go by that. It's best to talk with your host. But you do have 2 things you need to do now, find yourself another host, have them transfer your files, and backup your data. It doesn't matter what host you choose, learn how to make backups of your data. Things happen with the best of us. Do you have shell access by any chance? Although, most hosts won't give you access to it. If so it'll make your backups much easier. Best of luck!
