It will improve the tax collection but when it comes to employment, it generates for some and sack some.
It is definitely a mixed bag and should be adopted with proper strategy. |

It may now prove to big mistake.
These retails are now facing tough competition from local markets which they are destroying. Other metro cities they dont have any safe haven now. ![]() |

I think eventually, their prices will be way too cheap and just take over. thats how they go into the American market.
Keeping this is mind, Wal-mart only sells cheap stuff... the luxury goods businesses are fairly safe from Wal-mart. If you guys could keep me up to date on this issue that would be great, its interesting what Wal-mart is trying to do and I want to know how they succeed (if they even can)

for customers it will be great, prices will be low. Tesco sell from food to electrical appliances to clothing! you can find nearly anything, garden furniture, BBQs Sofas, Lamps!! its ridiculous as its so cheap. This will destroy other competitors such as over here Dixons and Curries have down sized, sold off and resorted to the Internet for survival, so all local competitors will be n big trouble. However, large supermarkets should open up many jobs to more people reducing your unemployment rates. So it has its up sides and down sides, it just depends from which stakeholders perspective you're looking from.

as the big retail companies are entering india because they realise the huge untapped potential indian consumers have . this will benefit the people as the market become integrated.
