Default Debit card disaster

Did you ever face a situation where you tried to use your debit card in a shopping Mall or tried to use it at a departmental store for making payments but your debit card did not work and you also did not have sufficient cash to compensate for your expense. Did you ever fall in such a situation.

Yeah,

But typically I have another card on hand. My bank isn't the best so stuff can quite often get delayed.

Well, I came across a write up in a newspaper which write about an Actress who one day came back extremely embarrassed from a departmental store, as her debit card was not working. She had no cash in her wallet either. While the cashier gave her dirty looks, she pleaded with her husband to come to her rescue.

Also, when the cashier at the store made attempts to swipe the cards, it said, “pick up card”, which simply means that it has been blocked because it’s a stolen card.

And nobody called the cops? Or the bank?
