I've only ever had one unauthorised transaction on my card and the bank was pretty good about refunding the money.
Just make sure you regularly check your statements.

I too fear credit card fraud from my business. I just got a merchant processor for my new business and I fear many customers using a fake credit card. Any suggestions on how to be more cautious other than a form of ID?

Hi,
I understood your problem.Although credit card fraud is certainly on the rise -- and credit card fraud on the Internet is rising even more dramatically. To avoid these credit card frauds, try not to let your credit card out of your sight whenever possible.Always have an eye on it.Never give your credit card information out when you receive a phone call.Legitimate companies don't call you to ask for a credit card number over the phone.Don't provide your credit card information on a website if that is not a secure site. Sign your credit cards as soon as you receive them.Better shield your credit card number so that others around you cannot capture it.Don't sign a blank credit card receipt. Carefully draw a line through blank portions of the receipt where additional charges could be fraudulently added.I think these tips will be useful for you! All the Best! |

Great tips here. I like that. And I'm going to add something: get a Virtual Debit Card against your REAL card to use online. They even have disposable credit cards now. The idea is to mask your credit card details.
