I'll take experience and determination over a degree .

Cool Re: Degree or high skilled experience ?

There should have been a poll placed in this topic so votes could be tallied. Anyways, it's a good subject. Degree versus high skilled experience? Certain degrees are hard to be ignored especially if he/she graduated with honors. Why? Probably because it isn't easy to reach that position and consistency is a factor. Aside from it, most with degrees have a sense of maturity and responsibility. Characteristics that employers give alot of credit.

But Still high skilled experience is probably my choice. Though they might not have that much degree, experience does give an edge over others especially if high skilled. They could be reliable in most times and could work with minimal supervision. Aside from that they have confidence and practical knowledge which means they are reliable and has the initiative if circumstances occur.

Anyways it would be great if degree and experience are in one package!

"Nothing Counts but the experience?" Don't you believe in the quality of work? Experience would be rendered useless if you don't give it importance and realize such flaws along the ways. And you only go for education just to get certification? Well nevermind that, let me just add this thought: "Experience may be the best teacher but it is also the worst teacher for it gives the test before the lesson"..

alrough Degree simply prove that you have ever get higher education in college or some field , it sets up firm fundation for getting professitional experience in society ,it is to say that what you have learned from theory put into practice in working ,so high skilled experience is more important ,but degree can not be ignored as much
