I want to do MBA, so you people please suggest me that in which field i should do my MBA, in finance, marketing or HR?
And i am thinking to do from Sikkim Manipal University - its a 2 year part time course and they are asking for 200$ per semester.
Waiting for suggestions.

its wonderful to know that you wish to do your mba in finance . before you decide on the sikkim university pls do check if the degree is accredited or not -

if the cost factor is a major concern then i guess a part time correspondence course may help from a private institution.

however to really get the satisfaction of being a master in finance , a degree from a university of repute will add more weight to your qualification.

at the end of the day its all about how street smart and resourceful you are.


there are mba students who still cannot understand and explain basic accounting fundas .

I would suggest dont do if you want to do from Sikkim Manipal University. There are many other distance or part time learning institutions which have much better recognitions then such universities like ICFAI. Wellingkars.
Also various colleges in your area might be providing part time MBA. If you really want to do MBA do from a university which holds name. As that degree will help you much more then you could think in future.

For MBA I would suggest you to take a look at this site, may be it will help you a lot www.pagalguy.com

Also what option to take its your personal choice. If you love numbers go with Finance. It all depends on your intrest and not others. I would love to do MBA in IT and Systems, and I may tell you do that, but what if you dont like it?

Both HR and Finance are strong lines, depends on what is your intrest and career plan.

Forogt to mention, Findout which degree you want to earn PGD or masters degree. that is Diploma in MBA or Master in MBA.
Go for masters. Many universities in part time only give Diploma which has not much value. ICFAI I believe provides masters.
And part time MBA is never 2 years, its always 3 years. So I guess you are talking about some other course.

also you need minimum of 50% in your Graduate degree to do a MBA.

ankur i think 50% is required for full time MBA not for part time, for part time you just need to be graduate.
i want to have master degree not the diploma.
Ok tell me one more thing guy is it possible to do this MBA (part time) from any international university and is it worth of doing that and also is it too costly to do?
