SEEKING PARTNERS TO INVEST FOR ECO TOURISM IN VIETNAM
As you know that more and more tourists are coming to Vietnam in general and Halong Bay in particular. It's estimated that there will be over 5 million tourists coming to Halong Bay next year. In fact, there are not enough boats in Halong bay. Most of tourists feel disappointed when they go to Halong Bay because it''s too crowded. It''s not because of the small bay but the way people organize the trips. Most of tourists just have chance to see Halong bay a little bit only because the tour operators and the boats companies are different. The boat owners want to save the petrol so they always make short cut. Consequently, all the boats go to the same places and at the same time. At night time, there's too much noise from generators because the anchor at the same place.

I've been travelling with tourists for 4 years so I know what people expect to get. I want to organize the trips in different ways: to take tourists to beautiful and quite places. I myself and my friend just finished building 2 wooden boats (junks) for tourists to stay overnight. We are the first ones who have permission to stay in Lan Ha Bay- close to Halong Bay ( very clean and beautiful bay). We use the solar water heater, bateries for lightening system and fans. So there's no noise from generator at night and no boats around. More and more tourists are booking the trip with us because of good recomendation. But we don''t have enough boats at the moment. We just set ut our own comapy so we need more investment for this project. We found this is the best chance to open up our business to a bigger scale. If we don't take the chance, others will take it.
Halong Bay belongs to Quang Ninh province, but Lan Ha bay and Cat Ba island belong to Hai Phong province. The local provincal authorities just gave us the permission to take tourists to stay overnight in Lan Ha bay. This is quite new law . Now I can take tourists to visit the bays from different way so we can stay away from noisy places. One more good thing is that the boats from Halong bay are not allowed to stay here. We can combine the trips with trekking in Catba National Park, kayaking to explore the langoons and beaches, fishing and relaxing...
Vietnam is now quite open for foreign investors and the procedures are much easier.
I strongly hope that in some way we can work together. I need investment to build more boats and to do marketing work oversea and open tour agents in other countries as well. I want to organize the package tours in Vietnam.
