Watch out for emails and fake "look-alike" websites that misled you to think that you are on a legitimate site. All the scammer wants is for your to login and provide personal and financial information, thinking that you are using the legitimate site.
Common websites used for such a scam includes PayPal, eBay, and several banks such as SunTrust, National City and Citibank. The common defence against email phishing is Never Click on the Link provided on the email, and Never reply to emails with your login or personal information. |

Its hard to tell the difference between the genuine site and the scam site. Banks dont normally send out emails asking for personal details. To be safe just call up the company and ask if they sent such emails asking for personal details

This has been going on for years. The best thing to do is just ignore emails that want you to buy something unless you know for sure that you ordered or requested something. It is sad to see people stealing from innocent internet victims but there isnt much anyone can do.

Agreed...there is basically nothing you can do about this. Best thing is just delete the emails. If it seems to good to be true...Odds are it is.

Never click on email links saying you have a error something like that.
Phishing is very dangerous and when come to cracking accounts comes next only to key loggers in effectiveness. |
