Hello, I am new to this forum and I'm glad I've found it.

I am currently developing an idea concerning a new business. I, however, have trouble finding a correct way of describing it, calling it a real business so to speak. Maybe you're able to help me with the idea and help me work out my own idea.

I'm thinking about a business researching customers on their needs, create an innovative concept that is based on the newly detected need and realise that idea. This ranges from a website containing information and functionality regarding a certain need, to a complete software package containing certain functionality regarding that certain need.

This new business will develop this idea from beginning to end, so we do the research, we create the concept and we build the product. Afterwards, we look after the product. So in case of a website with some certain functionality, the company will also make sure that the website is marketed, promoted, updated and functional. Also adding new feature to existing concepts in order to evolve ideas and keep expanding the business.

I'm quite unsure if I should add a certain target audience or target genre, as in: focussing on products regarding social services (Instant messaging software, social communities etcetera) or something like that, but I think it would add a certain value to the idea and concept of the business.

I hope I didn't forget anything and explained everything clear enough. In short, I'm looking for a way to describe this business to help me expand my idea. A way to describe it like you would describe a business as a media company.

I hope I made my question and point clear. Any discussion, questions and ideas is/are welcome.
