i hate bonds
i just don't like bonds, had some investments with bonds and the money doubles after 7 years
i really feel its just waste of time, these days people double money every 3 months. for end users its just like waiting and waiting and waiting. Last edited by ankur : 05-15-2007 at 10:46 AM.

there is no reason to hate bonds, since it is an alternative investment option to keep in your portfolio and it is necessary to have a balance in your total investments

trading in bonds is good, but it requires huge funds, and for long term i dont feel much point waiting for 5 years to double my money.

But now a days rates have also decreased ...... your money is just stuck up till seven years......money should be invested such so that it keeps revolving........plus till the time it gets double the value of money would also had changed......

Come to think of it, ankur has a point. Especially if circumstances doesn't favor you, you'll be lucky to get profits. But asides from bonds requiring huge funds and waiting for it to grow, is there any other reason to hate bonds?

Can't see anything that bad in bonds, but probably when investing it's better to choose some mixed type of portfolio, more profitable.

As for me bonds are rather profitable way to invest money into. Not that fond of investing all in all, but tried it once and got some money. But not that big of course
